Synopsis of Wheat Field:
Set against the famous "Battle of Changping," "Wheat Field" tells an absurd fable-like story.
During the war between Qin and Zhao, two Qin soldiers fleeing unintentionally arrive at Zhao territory. They are treated kindly after lying that they are from Zhao. Knowing that a massacre is imminent, how should they repay such kindness?
In "Wheat Field," Huang Jue plays a Qin soldier who flees in panic. His costume is not only tattered but also extremely scarce, with his knees bloodied and raw due to kneeling for too long.
