Synopsis:
At the end of last season of "Ghost Whisperer" (Ghost Whisperer), Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) was pregnant and awaiting childbirth. Jennifer Love Hewitt promised the audience that at the start of season five, viewers would "immediately see" this special child. As previously mentioned, at the beginning of season five, the timeline will jump forward five years, making Melinda's child already five years old. Without a doubt, this boy named Aiden (Connor Gibbs) is the main plotline of season five. As Carl (Watcher) said, Aiden has the same abilities as Melinda but is much stronger than her. He can even see or hear things that Melinda cannot perceive. Aiden's abilities may open a door to future plots of the show—we might see some new "existences," or perhaps a new space. There, good and evil beings coexist, and some of them do not wish to be seen.
In season five, the relationship between Melinda and Jim (David Conrad) will remain unchanged. Although he is currently in Sam's body, the audience still sees Jim. On the university campus, Delia’s (Camryn Manheim) son Ned (Christoph Sanders) was dating a girl named Brianna. An accidental event led them to a terrifying discovery. Both of them knew about Melinda's abilities, so instead of calling the police, they called Melinda. Ned and Brianna speculated that one of Brianna's friends was responsible for what happened, especially Gwen Collier, whose spirit remained restless after her recent death.
Brianna had told Gwen's boyfriend about Gwen dating another boy, leading to Gwen's breakup with her boyfriend. Gwen blamed Brianna, and the two had a big argument. Until Gwen was unfortunately murdered, they were never able to reconcile.
