Introduction to the plot of "A Kiss of True Love":
The incredibly wealthy Wilhern family has been guarding an ancient secret for generations -- long ago, a love debt brought about a curse: the next newborn girl in the family would definitely be an ugly girl with a pig's nose, and only by finding someone who truly loves her and obtaining a kiss of true love could the curse be lifted. Generation after generation passed, and the Wilhern family only gave birth to boys, so the unspoken curse was gradually forgotten.
Time flies, and Franklin Wilhern, the new head of the family, and his wife Jessica have reached the age of having children. However, what made Franklin and his wife panic was that their newly born daughter Penelope (Christina Ricci) had indeed verified the witch's curse, being born with a pig face! Penelope's uniqueness became a shocking scandal, and facing the relentless pursuit of gossip tabloids, mother Jessica painfully lied that her daughter was born dead and hid her daughter in the ancient castle, isolating her from the world, hoping that when she grew up, marrying into nobility could lift the spell.

When Penelope finally reaches marriageable age, her parents start arranging matchmaking matters. Since Raymon himself had lost his right eye due to this rumor years ago, he hired a fallen nobleman named Max to pretend to be a suitor and infiltrate the ancient castle to take definitive photos of Penelope. Unexpectedly, Max fell in love with the simple and lovely Penelope and refused to collude with Raymon any longer. But since he believed he wasn't socially equal to Penelope [because he wasn't really Max], he thought he couldn't break the curse on her, so he chose to leave. Fed up with rejection and misunderstanding Max, Penelope decided to set out into the outside world to find true love. In a strange metropolis, she coincidentally met a female knight named Annie (Reese Witherspoon) riding a heavy motorcycle. With Annie's help and companionship, Penelope's adventurous journey to seek love is about to begin...
