◎Introduction:
Master Nine (Lam Ching-ying), a Maoshan Taoist priest's senior disciple, Fat Bao (Sammo Hung), is betrothed to Zhu Nu (Josephine Kwan), the daughter of a teahouse owner. However, his father-in-law looks down on Fat Bao for being poor and wants to marry his daughter to Mr. Shi, a rich man's son.
In order to raise a high dowry, Fat Bao buys a porridge stall to make money. Unexpectedly, his first customer turns out to be a female ghost. Fat Bao follows her and finds out that this ghost named Xiao Hong (Man Bun Wong) lingers in the human world to take care of her blind mother. Therefore, he pretends to be Xiao Hong's cousin and takes the mother and daughter home. When his junior brother, Little Hai (Mang Hoi), learns about it, he asks Xiao Hong to seduce Mr. Shi to help the master earn money. However, they are discovered by the witch of the Shi family...
