This film, produced by elites from China, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea both in front of and behind the camera, tells an unconventional "erotic story." As director Po Yan says, the entire movie was inspired by *The Peony Pavilion*, with the line "Love arises without cause, and grows ever deeper" encapsulating the essence of this film. Love can make one obsessed, even to the point of making sacrifices. The female protagonists in the movie love to extremes. There have long been rumors that Carina Chan would experience a major transformation in the film, portraying scenes of SM sexual abuse. Harisu also doesn't let her outshine her; the two of them shot all night in a mansion and a slaughterhouse respectively with Sho. They were able to make such significant breakthroughs only because they had immense trust in director Po Yan. Po Yan mentioned that he conducted many psychological counseling sessions with Carina Chan before shooting these scenes. Teresa once cried for hours on set due to psychological pressure, and producers like Fruit Chan as well as cinematographer Raymond Wong all came to comfort her. However, it was ultimately up to Director Po Yan himself to intervene, using a combination of gentle persuasion and firmness, which finally led Teresa to complete the filming obediently. Reflecting on the numerous obstacles this film has faced from the start until now, the entire production team eventually overcame them all, striving to create a movie that no one has ever made before.
