In order to find the Titanic, which sank in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912, and the precious treasures on board - the priceless "Heart of the Ocean," treasure hunter Brock recovered a rusty safe from the sunken ship. Unexpectedly, inside was only a well-preserved sketch - a portrait of a young woman wearing a diamond necklace. This news caught the attention of a centenarian old woman, who quickly arrived at Brock's salvage ship by helicopter. It turned out her name was Rose Dawson, and she was the very woman depicted in the portrait.
Looking at the portrait, memories of the past flooded back into the mind of the elderly Rose: On April 12, 1912, the Titanic, ready for its maiden voyage, was docked at the port. The wharf was crowded with people eager to witness the largest and most luxurious ship ever built. Rose, a beautiful and elegant aristocratic lady, along with her mother and fiancé - the son of a steel tycoon, Cal Hockley - boarded the first-class cabin. At the same time, the other protagonist of the film - the young vagrant artist Jack Dawson - won a third-class ticket through gambling and boarded the giant ship at the last moment, shouting "We are the luckiest..." He stood on the bow of the ship with his companions looking ahead, cheering loudly, excitedly, as if the world belonged to them at that moment. The Titanic set sail, and the early spring Atlantic was calm and sunny, stretching for thousands of miles. Jack and his friends stood on the bow of the ship gazing ahead, cheering enthusiastically. Rose, living within the social circle of high society, had long been tired of the boring conversations of the nobility, feeling no different from a bird in a cage. With furrowed brows, she came to the deck to look far away, relieving her sorrow. When Jack saw Rose, he was deeply attracted by her grace. As night fell, after another evening of revelry, Rose felt utterly helpless about her future and marriage; she rushed to the deck, attempting to jump into the sea to end her life. On the evening of the 14th, the sea surface was unusually calm, yet the Titanic continued to travel at full speed. After the lookout spotted the iceberg ahead, they immediately notified the control room and the first officer. However, due to the immense inertia of the ship, it was too late to avoid the collision. The right side of the ship was cut open by the iceberg, causing six compartments to flood. The Titanic, reputed as unsinkable, would sink within two hours. Moreover, the lifeboats onboard were only sufficient for half of the passengers, leading to panic aboard the ship. Unexpectedly, at this time, Jack was falsely accused by Hockley of stealing the diamond and was locked up in the lower cabin. Unaware of the truth, Rose waited with others on the deck for the lifeboats, but ultimately, she believed Jack to be innocent. Regardless of everything, Rose returned to the empty cabin to find Jack and managed to rescue him with a life-saving axe at a crucial moment. They reached the deck where, persuaded by Jack, Rose boarded the lifeboat. Jack and Rose ran to the stern of the ship, climbed onto the railing (the very place where their love began), and held on until the Titanic finally sank. After struggling fiercely against the huge whirlpool, Jack pushed Rose onto a floating plank, while he himself remained immersed in the icy seawater. Hours later, the rescue ship returned and saved the barely alive Rose, while the frozen Jack was mercilessly swallowed by the icy sea. Rose kept the promise she made to Jack and bravely lived on. Eighty-four years later, Rose returned to the place where the Titanic sank and threw the "Heart of the Ocean" into the sea to inform Jack's spirit...
