Plot introduction:

The movie is adapted from Larry Hama's popular American comic book of the same name and is Paramount's next big-budget film adaptation of a Hasbro toy following "Transformers". Directed by Stephen Sommers (director of the first two "Mummy" films), the story revolves around the Brussels-based "G.I. Joe" special forces unit using advanced weaponry to combat an evil organization called "Cobra", established by a Scottish arms dealer.
