School of Rock 2 Plot Introduction:

Dewey Finn (played by Jack Black), the lead singer and guitarist of a rock band, is over 30 years old and has nothing but a pile of unsuccessful collaboration records with various bands and a dream of becoming a rock star. One day, Dewey was kicked out of a heavy metal band again, and upon returning to his apartment, Patty (played by Sarah Silverman), the girlfriend of his roommate and old friend Ned Schneebly (played by Mike White), gave him an ultimatum: either pay the rent or leave immediately. At a loss, Dewey heard on the radio while wandering around that a grand "Battle of the Bands" competition was being held locally, and the winner would receive a substantial prize. Then he accidentally heard the orchestral performance of children from a private school, where the performance of a guitar prodigy named YUKI deeply moved him.

Thus, Dewey pretended to be a substitute teacher at the extremely conservative school when he called Ned (who is a former rock musician and current substitute teacher) to ask him to come substitute for a class. The children here are all sensitive and precocious, always considering which Ivy League school they want to attend in the future and whether they want to be doctors or lawyers. The children looked at this eccentric teacher with eyes full of mockery and confusion; he should have been teaching them geography and math, but now he was enthusiastically talking about the heavy metal band Led Zeppelin and guitar legend Jimi Hendrix on the blackboard.

Unconsciously, Dewey began to get addicted to the feeling of being a teacher. This long-time loser suddenly found magic in his life. His free-spirited lifestyle, his passion, and his musical talent quickly began to influence those young adults. They started to become more vibrant, began to examine themselves, started to seriously explore the side of themselves that the school did not encourage, and began to consider some grand and fiery dreams. Finally, Dewey began preliminary rock music training for the children, trying to bring out each child's talent to form a small rock band, and prepare to take them to participate in the "Battle of the Bands" competition.

As the competition date approached, Dewey also faced more and more problems. Could he really persuade the conservative female principal and the parents who do not want their children to touch rock music? Could he really lead the band to win the competition, thereby solving his own financial difficulties and becoming a respected rock musician again?

Fun Facts:

The lead singer and guitarist, Dewey Finn, is still achieving nothing in his thirties. He decides to select children learning instruments from nearby private schools, form a band, and participate in the "Battle of the Bands" competition.
