Introduction to the Mandarin version of "Ice Age 3":
Fox's "Ice Age" was born in 2002, depicting the surprising and dangerous wilderness era of the Ice Age. Due to a sudden human abandoned infant, three animals with different personalities had to come together - the sarcastic mammoth, the rude giant sloth, and the cunning saber-toothed tiger. These three prehistoric animals not only have to act as babysitters for the baby, but also go through various dangers of glaciers and icebergs to escort him home. Then the second movie was released in 2006, at which point the Ice Age had ended and the melting snow and ice brought floods. After the adventures of the first two episodes, Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth, and Diego the saber-toothed tiger encounter new troubles when a tyrannosaurus rex suddenly appears and kidnaps Sid! In order to find their companion, a group of animals walk into the Ice Age...
After barely surviving the freezing crisis of the Ice Age and resolving the crisis of melting glaciers, at the beginning of "Ice Age 3", Manny and Ellie are looking forward to the birth of a little mammoth; Diego begins to doubt whether he has the qualifications to be a saber-toothed tiger, because his practice of eating vegetables makes him inexplicably gentle; Sid is still cowardly, but with his "skill" that birds will fly down from the sky for him to roast, he is now enjoying a second spring in life and eagerly taking care of dinosaur babies; and the squirrel Scrat, who is obsessed with acorns, is finally going to have some good luck with love.
Carlos Saldanha, the director of the third installment who also directed the previous "Ice Age" and "Ice Age 2", said in an interview: "Ice Age 3 is the most ambitious of the three-part series. We threw our characters, familiar with the world of the icy plains and survivors of the melting ice crisis, into a place they were not naturally born to adapt to."
