Yosuke Sasano became unemployed in middle age, and his wife left him to return to her parents' home. He visited Taro, a wandering old man whom he regarded as a mentor in life, only to find that Taro had already passed away. Yosuke remembered that Taro had once mentioned stealing a golden Buddha and hiding it in a house under a red bridge on the Noto Peninsula, so he set off for Noto to search for it.
