Plot Introduction:

Terry Wolfmeyer (played by Joan Allen) is a shrewd and intelligent middle-aged woman who lives in the suburban wealthy area with her husband and four daughters. However, unfortunately, Terry is also an unrepentant drinker. Her alcoholism has made her arrogant and radical, often making people around her unbearable.

Finally one day, Terry's husband quietly left home because he could no longer endure her words and actions. After being abandoned by her heartless husband, Terry had to take on the responsibility of raising her daughters alone. The hardships of life plus the rebellious nature of her adolescent daughters made poor Terry extremely exhausted. Tragically, Terry could never find a way to sort out her own life, only getting deeper and deeper into the anesthesia of alcohol. Meanwhile, her angry and harsh preaching after drinking gradually estranged the feelings between her and her daughters.
