The film narrates a true story: A Polish man named Kofsky was imprisoned in the Buerde concentration camp. He ingeniously brought a Jewish child inside as well. The fellow prisoners continuously devised ways to stay out of sight from the Nazis, especially Hefel and Pipsi who cleverly moved the child to safe places multiple times. On the eve of the collapse of Nazi Germany, the underground party organization in the concentration camp prepared for an armed uprising. The SS troops attempted to use the search for the child as a pretext to disrupt the activities of the underground party. Boghof, the leader of the underground party organization, considering the safety of more than 5,000 comrades, decided to send the child out. Yang Kofsky, in order to protect the child, decided to risk his life and escape the camp by transport vehicle.
