The movie "The Beach" tells the story of a group of people who have distanced themselves from the bustling world and chosen to live on a remote yet beautiful beach, leading a life akin to that in a utopia. However, even in this idyllic setting, deep and hidden contradictions between survival and morality are revealed. The film presents the extremes of human nature—love and selfishness—in their most genuine forms. Based on the novel of the same name by Alex Garland and directed by Danny Boyle with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, the film is filled with philosophical concepts, leaving a profound and lasting impression.

The story follows Richard, a young American traveling alone in Thailand. By chance, he meets a bald young man named Duff, who tells him about the secrets of a "mysterious beach." The next day, Duff mysteriously dies, leaving behind a map to the "beach." Richard then decides to embark on the journey with a French couple, Etienne and Françoise, whom he met in the desert. But just before departure, Richard secretly makes a copy of the map and leaves it with two new acquaintances.
