"Transformers" has released many versions of animations and countless peripheral products, and is about to hit the big screen. The story tells of a mechanical lifeform called Transformers living on a distant cosmic planet. They have split into two factions during their evolution: one that values justice and peace, and another that is brutal and aggressive. The two armies have been at war for millions of years. The leader of the just faction leads his people in search of a new home, and the war resumes on Earth.

In the early 19th century, within the Arctic Circle:

Captain Archibald Witwicky (the ancestor of the Witwicky family) falls into an abyss with a huge block of ice during a disaster, landing on the hand of a robot buried under the ice layer. When the captain wakes up, he finds the robot's eyes staring at him. This robot turns out to be Megatron, who left Cybertron long ago to search for the Allspark on Earth...

Megatron burns a map revealing the location of the Allspark onto the captain's glasses. The glasses, as the captain's heirloom, are passed down generation by generation until they end up in the hands of Sam (played by Shia LaBeouf)...

Modern times:

An American airbase in Qatar, the Middle East, is attacked by the Decepticon warrior Blackout. He completely destroys the base and obtains a large amount of information from a computer. In addition, Blackout releases Scorponok to hunt down Captain Lennox and his special operations team. Lennox contacts the Pentagon, and the US military sends a fighter jet to temporarily repel the small-scale attack by the Decepticons.

Sam Witwicky buys his first car from a car dealer, which happens to be Bumblebee of the Autobots. Bumblebee helps Sam win Mikaela's heart. The Autobots come looking for the old captain Archibald's glasses, and they are forced to hide in Sam's backyard because agents from the sinister Sector 7 suddenly burst into Sam's house...
