On May 19th local time, the 62nd Cannes International Film Festival entered its 7th day. Two works were released in the main competition unit on that day: Spanish director Pedro Almodovar's new film "Broken Embrace" and Marco Bellocchio's "The Conquest".
In the "Un Certain Regard" section, the films screened were Romanian comedy "Stories from the Golden Age" and Denis Dercourt's "Dawn Tomorrow". Following yesterday's screening of "Independence", another work by 24-year-old Filipino young director Raya Martin, "Manila", appeared in the "Special Screenings" section. The Cannes Film Festival Masterclass was also inaugurated on that day, with the Dardenne brothers, who have twice won the Palme d'Or, leading the session. They shared their creative experiences in making films here.
