At the end of "Fast and Furious I", Officer Brian lets Dom go. Afterwards, Dom flees to the Dominican Republic where he meets Han (a key character in "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift"). Meanwhile, Officer Brian is imprisoned for letting a key criminal escape. However, he is released after completing a secret mission given by the government. Dom's girlfriend LETTY maintains Dom's business by transporting drugs for BARGA, a drug lord in the southern United States. Later, BARGA kills LETTY to destroy the evidence. MIA (Dom's sister) informs Dom via phone. Dom immediately returns to the U.S. to attend LETTY's funeral, where he encounters Officer Brian. Brian is about to pursue the drug dealer BARGA, and without hesitation, Dom joins him. A new storyline begins here.
