Jack Wade, a hardworking actor and model husband, kidnaps his still-comatose wife Frankie, a former Hollywood studio manager, from the hospital. Jack takes Frankie to a cabin among the mountains of Nevada. The cabin was won by Jack in a poker game and is now his only possession... It's also the place where his entire family was killed by a man decades ago. Jack plotted to kill Frankie in order to claim her insurance money. Jack becomes mentally confused, constantly seeing visions of Frankie as cruel and brutal. Since Jack cannot recover from his current state of paranoia and mental confusion, he decides to suffocate his wife. Frankie dies, but she doesn't disappear. Is it her soul that keeps appearing beside Jack, or has Jack gone insane?
