The protagonist, Kurosaki Ichigo, appears thin but is full of热血 (passion) and has the ability to see spirits. With a father who runs a hospital and exorcises spirits, and two absolutely normal sisters, Ichigo must return home by seven every day or face his father's violent family rules of "physical language lessons." The noisy father-son relationship, understanding younger sisters, and a life no different from any other ordinary person's continues until the moment Rukia is kicked into the corner and looks at him with surprise, asking, "Can you see me?" There are two kinds of souls in the world: one called Pluses, which are ordinary spirits.
