The Origin of Kitarou from the Graveyard: He was born in a graveyard three days after his mother's death. He was born with only one eye. In 1959, Shigeru Mizuki, who only had one right hand, created the first story of the "Kitarou" series, "Kitarou from the Graveyard," which was officially published in the rental comic magazine "Youkai Den". Afterwards, this series became independently published as a book. This manga artist, known as the Doctor of Youkai, sketched out a unique group of youkai for readers. In 1954, the image of Kitarou first appeared in a serial picture drama written by Shigeru Mizuki, and in 1967, "Kitarou from the Graveyard" was renamed to "GeGeGe No Kitarou".
