I've seen many people's suggestions on point allocation and many lamentations about the imbalance between races in the game. Now I want to share my own thoughts, even though they may not be perfect.
But having played countless turn-based games, I believe my advice will definitely help you with your point allocation. Not just now, but also in the future in Divine Realm.
First, let's talk about the Human Race.
Male humans and female humans. They may seem to only differ in gender, but there are actually significant differences.
I've read many posts where people claim to have played turn-based games for years, saying they've reached high levels in other games. They claim to understand Divine Realm well and analyze it from the perspective of those other games. This makes me laugh.
Of course, we can't deny that Divine Realm has similarities with other games, but we should use them as references, not directly apply strategies and point allocations from other games to Divine Realm. That would be quite unwise.
Now let's get to the main topic.
First, let's discuss my views on male and female humans.
I've seen many posts criticizing male humans, saying they're useless because female humans can do everything male humans can, like causing confusion. So why bother playing male humans? You might as well delete your account.
I want to emphasize that the unique skill of male humans is Aging, not Confusion. Again, please don't analyze Divine Realm using the mindset of other games. On the surface, male and female humans may seem to have no difference in their magic abilities, both having Confusion, Sleep, Ice (Petrification), and Poison. So why bother playing male humans? But the full potential of the Aging skill after transformation is terrifying.
What exactly are players debating about regarding the imbalance between male and female humans?
What are the differences between male and female humans? I'll make a brief analysis here. Male humans may be very frustrating before level 50. Perhaps this isn't the real issue, because machines are the same. If someone argues that male humans should be modified because they can't level up due to lack of attack power early on, that argument doesn't hold water.
The real issues probably come down to these points:
1. The Aging skill of male humans seems to have no effect, and females can cause Confusion. Females can also attack, so males aren't needed for leveling or killing monsters.
2. The poison damage of female humans is too high, even surpassing mages. All-female teams can move just as fast, while other races are collectively looked down upon.
1. Due to the influence of other games, some players haven't fully understood male humans yet. They always think the unique skill of male humans is Confusion, without realizing the importance of Aging. Aging continuously reduces magic points. For a male human with full magic skills, one Aging can reduce over ten thousand HP. If the opponent's total magic points are over 20,000, and they need 15,000 to cast a fourth-tier spell, after being hit by Aging, they will lose over 10,000 magic points in the second round, making it impossible for them to cast another spell. This is the practical significance.
Imagine in formal PK or guild battles, even if the opponent uses multiple main attacking speed characters, if they are hit by Aging, they won't be able to act in the second round. Even if they can, it will likely be first or second-tier spells. The effects are self-evident. Of course, based on experience from other games, you can use fast pets to restore magic points. However, to surpass highly speeded or full-speed characters, it's probably only possible with high-growth pets or divine beasts. Moreover, with a team combination of dual human races, one ice pet and one Aging can seal off the opponent's food supply. The consequences are imaginable. Even if you're still standing, you won't be able to cast spells. Even if you can act, you must sacrifice one person's action to revive another. Of course, you can bring female elves to remove the ice, but wait, let me analyze the elf race later (Here's a little speculation: Are elves really the nemesis of the human race? They can remove ice only if they themselves aren't hit by spells. Is that completely possible? What if an elf is hit by Aging, how can they remove the ice?). Thus, the role of male humans' Aging in countering speed characters is achieved. Who still dares to say that speed characters are invincible in turn-based games? In Divine Realm, tactics are more important, and male humans become more crucial in the later stages.
Additionally, between levels 50-70, there's no difference between male and female humans in city quests. Females cannot poison but can put enemies to sleep, so in city quests, humans play the role of sealers. Males can achieve the same results. In similar competitions, male humans may have a harder time than females when brushing talent skills because talent tasks usually involve direct damage rather than sealing. In other similar competitions, male humans won't be at a disadvantage. If no one adds you, it's probably because some people still have biases against male humans.
Because females can't poison while causing confusion and vice versa, in situations requiring confusion, females can't attack. In such cases, they are equal to male humans. For example, when doing sealing tasks, I would still add male humans because we need a human ice monster, whether sealed by a male or female. Even if a female seals, she can't poison the monster at the same time, right?
Male humans suffer now, but perhaps in the future, the main force in server battles will be your male human character. Haha.
If you still try to argue, I'd give you a slap if I were your mother. Why are you so stubborn?!
2. Let's analyze. The high damage of female humans is due to skill level. Early on, each level-up brings a significant increase, but after reaching 9000, the growth rate drops below 100. It will forever stay around 10,000. Mage skills, however, improve through intelligence and character level, and after transformation, receive spell damage enhancement corrections. It's also possible to obtain 11-13 tier strong spell weapons in the future.
It's foreseeable that high-level mages after transformation will be able to instantly deal 20,000-30,000 or more damage. Therefore, the current misconception that female damage far exceeds mage damage and the concern that mages are embarrassed can be eliminated.
Some people understand that mages' damage will be unmatched in the future, but they say that females will only poison for 10,000 and will only be useful for small monsters. They argue that for PKs against 100,000 HP pets, poison is useless. I just want to say, you're wrong again. You haven't considered resistance corrections, and you haven't played other games, so you don't know the later developments.
Assume a two-turn mage whose previous life was all mage. What would his resistances be at level 100 after two turns?
Untransformed 10 points + First Turn 15 points (estimated) + Second Turn 100 level's own 10 points = 35 magic resistance points.
If a fourth-tier full-level female machine adds defense, then its magic resistance is almost full, possibly dealing only hundreds or even a few drops of blood per spell. It will also involve the machine's magic reflection and counterattack, etc. However, poison has no effect at all.
Therefore, in the later stages, poison won't reach the mage's damage, nor will it be less effective than mage spells. There's no need to continue arguing about poison versus mage spells.
Thank you for your long-term support of "Divine Realm". Wish you a pleasant gaming experience!
