Roger, the Pirate King who once owned the world's wealth, spoken just before his execution. Because of this statement, people from all over the world rushed to the sea in droves, and thus, the Age of Pirates began. Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose goal is to become the Pirate King, sets sail alone towards the sea to fulfill his promise with Jack, the man who saved his life, wearing the straw hat left to him by Jack. However, Luffy can no longer swim due to accidentally eating a Devil Fruit when he was a child. Despite this, Luffy begins his adventure. Along the way, he meets one reliable partner after another, defeats increasingly powerful enemies, and survives one deadly battle after another. Luffy also gets closer and closer to the treasure "ONE PIECE."
