Today, I watched a great animated movie with Meimei - Hayao Miyazaki's "Howl's Moving Castle". An 18-year-old girl, Sophie, was cursed by the Witch of the Waste and turned into a 90-year-old grandma. She came to Howl's moving castle and saved both Howl and herself with love and courage, gaining peace and true love.

I really like Hayao Miyazaki's animations. From "Spirited Away" to "Howl's Moving Castle", I've watched quite a few of his movies. The heroines in Miyazaki's animations are all girls with sincere and brave hearts.

When Sophie suddenly turns from an 18-year-old girl into a 90-year-old grandma, she doesn't fall apart. Instead, she keeps telling herself "Stay calm, stay calm". When she realizes in the morning that this fact cannot be changed, she bravely accepts it. She also keeps telling herself "The advantage of being old is that you don't have to be shocked by everything" and "The advantage of being old is that there are fewer and fewer things you can lose." I guess I'm getting old too. I used to be very afraid of death and losing cherished things. But now I suddenly find that I'm no longer afraid of death or loss. Because birth, aging, sickness, death, disasters, and gains and losses are all the most normal parts of life. Therefore, I tell myself that I can accept everything and everyone. If I suddenly turn 90, I think I can accept it as calmly as Sophie.
