This is an animated adventure comedy that tells the story of Jackie Chan and his 11-year-old niece Jade as they embark on adventures around the world. Assisting Jackie and Jade is their uncle in the U.S. (translated directly from Chinese as Uncle), who is both an antique shop owner and a wizard. This series also features live-action segments with the real Jackie Chan, and his voice in the show is based on his actual persona.
In the story of *Jackie Chan Adventures*, Jackie and his niece Jade experience all sorts of adventures. With his superior martial arts skills, mental strength, and the ability to turn anything into a defensive weapon at any time, they overcome one adventure after another.
Although Jackie's "official" profession in the story is an archaeologist, he also assists Captain Black of the Section 13 police organization. During the search for the twelve talismans, Jackie discovers that each talisman grants its holder a unique mystical power, with each representing one of the Chinese zodiac signs. However, when combined, they release ultimate darkness.
During their travels around the world, Jackie and Jade experience various kinds of adventures. With Jackie's superior martial arts skills, mental strength, and his ability to turn anything into a defensive weapon at any time, they overcome one adventure after another. Although Jackie relies heavily on his martial arts and intelligence, he doesn't reject the aid of high-tech gadgets and vehicles from Section 13.
*Jackie Chan Adventures* shares a similar style to his films, blending humor, adventure, and love, providing children with unparalleled enjoyable experiences.
The portrayal of Jackie Chan in the animation looks less like the real Jackie and more beautified. Regarding this, Hou Zhi, the artistic supervisor of the comic book, stated that it’s acceptable to enhance Jackie's image by making him appear younger, more handsome, and more imposing in order to attract audiences from more countries.
