Plot Summary:

In the town of Alamos — a research scholar named Donier is reading his grandfather's diary. The diary records that because he foresaw a collapsing future in his dreams, he built the Time and Space Tower 100 years ago, which has a melody capable of calming even legendary Pokémon. Meanwhile, Ash and his friends have just arrived at Alamos Town but realize they've gone the wrong way and find themselves lost. They meet Alice (Donier’s childhood friend), who takes them to Alamos Town on her hydrogen balloon. After battling others in the town (opening theme), Alice leads Ash and his friends to her favorite garden where they discover toppled stone pillars caused by an unknown disturbance. Baron Alube appears (a foolish man who believes he will be Alice’s future husband, though Alice likes Donier). He mistakenly assumes the damage was done by Dusknoir and attacks a rustling bush, only to reveal Donier, who was investigating spatial anomalies. Then, Dusknoir truly appears, battles the Baron, uses "Nightmare," and inadvertently hits Ash, causing him to enter a nightmare.
