Born in Yangzhou, Bai Han graduated from the Acting Department of the Central Academy of Drama. She was a first-class actress at the National Theatre Company of China. She once won the Outstanding Young Actor Award for drama by the Ministry of Culture. She won the "Magnolia Award" for Best Actress at the 16th Shanghai TV Festival for her role as "mother-in-law" Cao Xinmei in the series "The Wonderful Era of Daughter-in-Law". She passed away due to illness on February 19, 2012.
