Zhang Mo was released from the Shunyi Detention Centre at midnight on August 13, after serving a 13-day administrative detention for suspected gathering to take drugs. According to reports by multiple media outlets, around 10 p.m. on August 12, Zhang Guoli arrived at the detention center in a car driven by his driver. After completing relevant procedures, he left the detention center at around 12 a.m. His wife Deng Jie was also in the car. The two deliberately avoided the media and quickly left after getting out of the detention center.
