Cui Jian's Era Nights

Cui Jian is an era for me, from the confusion of youth with nothing, to the沧桑 (weathered) world outside and its girls. When he twirled on stage with his pants legs rolled up unevenly, dancing in a style reminiscent of the yangge, it awakened the restlessness and passion within us. For quite a long period, we couldn't see him or hear his music; he had seemingly vanished without a trace. Whenever a new album of his was released, I only found out through a friend who sold audio-visual products. I still clearly remember running to a distant audio-visual store one snowy afternoon when his second album was finally published. At that time, I was truly braving the snow and wind to move forward. I wanted to find some excitement, I wanted to find my nurse sister.
