"I won't say something exists when it doesn't, or vice versa. I've had plastic surgery."
Actress Park Min-young, who stars in the KBS2 drama "Scandal: Masquerade," has publicly addressed rumors about her plastic surgery for the first time.
In a recent interview with Sports Chosun, Park Min-young confessed, "I underwent double eyelid surgery during my middle school years because my mom wanted me to look more beautiful. I also had my nose reshaped, but that was due to a slight deviation in my nasal bone which required surgery at that time."
Park Min-young has recently been adored by fans for her "goddess-level beauty," but some of her elementary school photos were revealed and deemed to look "different" from her current appearance. As Park's popularity rose through her television roles, her pre-debut photos drew significant attention.
In fact, it is quite rare for a popular actor to admit to having undergone plastic surgery. For a female actress, this is a difficult decision to make. Regarding this, Park Min-young expressed her straightforward personality by saying, "I don't think it's a bad thing to speak honestly about what has happened. While past facts are important, I hope people will focus on the present-day 'actress Park Min-young.' I will strive to be a sincere actress who finds happiness in acting."
In "Scandal: Masquerade," Park Min-young plays the role of Kim Yoon-hee, who disguises herself as a man and becomes the central figure of the "Yoon-hee Love Syndrome." Disguised as a man, Park Min-young, along with Park Yu-chun, Ryu Yeol-ryeol, and Song Joong-ki, forms the so-called "F4 of the Joseon era." Despite her male attire, her beauty remains evident, earning her admiration across various age groups.
