According to Japanese media reports, the Japanese police recently found a female corpse suspected to be that of Ohsugi Noriko near Lake Mashu (Hokkaido), and verification is currently underway. At 22:40 on the evening of the 4th, the Japan News Network confirmed with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, which stated that there was no news yet of Ohsugi Noriko's suicide.

After her husband was arrested in the early hours of August 3 for drug use, it was confirmed that Ohsugi Noriko had run away from home with her 10-year-old son. Their whereabouts are still unknown. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has begun search efforts.
