The two-day 5th Economic, Trade and Cultural Forum across the Taiwan Straits this afternoon closed in Changsha, Hunan. Subsequently, Wu Pohsiung, Chairman of the Kuomintang of China, held a press conference to talk about his feelings of participating in the 5th Economic, Trade and Cultural Forum across the Taiwan Straits and answer media questions. Wu Pohsiung, who has been in politics for 42 years and is now 70 years old, said emotionally when answering reporters' questions that he was very grateful to be able to participate in and witness the important moments of cross-strait exchanges for five sessions continuously. This forum played an important role when the situation across the Taiwan Straits was relatively tense in the past and provided a good platform for exchanging opinions.
