A simple and unadorned name, yet one that countless people will remember. On the stages of the eighties, with him and Jiang Kun, there were many heartfelt laughs that lingered in the ears of people for a long time. The performances of the Jiang and Li duo were filled with the youthful passion of young people, while on Li Wenhua's wrinkled face was the innocent and carefree smile of a child. Each of the famous crosstalk comedians who specialized in supporting roles had distinct characteristics: Guo Qiru's kindness, Zhao Shizhong's steadiness, Zhao Yan's cheerfulness, Tang Jiezhong's honesty, and Li Wenhua, the people specially gave him the term "quiet joke," which was a great honor for him. This unremarkable-looking old man hid his wit within his quietness; his slow, listless speech and his ordinary-sounding voice would unexpectedly burst forth with sparks of humor. Li Wenhua was born for the art of crosstalk "quietly," and only within the extraordinary world of crosstalk could the quiet Li Wenhua shine brightly.
