The tiger is a large carnivorous mammal (Panthera tigris) native to Asia and is also the largest feline in the world today. It has yellowish-brown fur with black stripes, a long tail without tufts and with black rings. Its underside is mostly white and it does not have a mane. There are records of tigers hunting solitary Asian black bears and fierce Indian bison, making it one of the most powerful carnivores on land.
