39-year-old Italian photographer Valerio Bispuri spent ten years traveling and paying visits to more than 74 men's and women's prisons in South America to photograph the violence, crime, trouble and the astonishing overcrowding situation in prison cells, as well as the lifestyle, habits, conflicts and various emotions of the prisoners. His works offer a deep visual shock, getting people to think and explore the thoughts and souls of these prisoners.
