In November 2010, photographer Richard Lewisohn went to Nepal to shoot the first retirement home for retired Gurkha soldiers. In this nursing home live the Gurkha soldiers and their widows of Nepalese main nation. These survivors experienced the terrible World War II, and some were even prisoners of war in Europe and the Pacific War. They have no relatives to take care of them, nor are they able to take care of themselves. Richard Lewisohn spent three days shooting the old people in the nursing home. After shooting the nursing home, he spent some more time shooting ordinary retired elders in Dharan and Jiri in Nepal.
