He said: "Lake Eyre is in a very good position, with a perfect horizon and an equally flat view from every angle. This lake covers an area of 9,700 square kilometers, and much of it consists of dry, salty ground. Many tourists ride bicycles to take pictures here, and there are also some small vendors providing water, food, and tents for the tourists. However, despite the beautiful scenery, the surrounding area is not suitable for human habitation because it is windy all year round, there is no fresh water, and the temperature ranges from below zero to as high as 40 degrees Celsius. Only a few animals can survive here."
