This hunger-desperate mother attracted me to her like a magnet. I don't remember how I explained my intention to her, but I will always remember that she didn't ask me a single question. At that time, I pressed the shutter five times from the same direction, and each picture was closer to her than the previous one. I remember that before I could inquire about her name and family situation, she told me she was 32 years old. She said that they had been relying on vegetables from the nearby wild fields and wild birds caught by the children for food. She also once sold the tires of her car in exchange for several days' worth of food. She was sitting by a slightly tilted tent, with her child snuggling beside her; she thought my photos might be able to help them, so she helped me take the pictures.
