"Parisian," with its three syllables pronounced in authentic French with a trilled "r," rolls ambiguously and hazily off the throat. Just like the impression of Parisian style that forms in our minds, it is bourgeois, bohemian, classical, avant-garde... All these mutually contradictory terms can be used to describe it, yet none can capture a precise image.
