Washington Cherry Blossom Festival (in pictures)

From March 26 to April 10, the annual cherry blossom festival in Washington, U.S. has begun again. In 1912, Japan presented more than three thousand cherry trees to the United States, which were planted in Washington. This year is already the 99th anniversary. The Washington National Cherry Blossom Festival this year is different from previous ones. While people appreciate the beauty of the cherry blossoms, they will think of the Japanese people who suffered the most serious natural disaster in their history, from the homeland of these cherry blossom trees thousands of miles away. Therefore, while enjoying the flowers this year during the Cherry Blossom Festival, the local people also launched activities showing support for Japan.
