Macro photography can turn an ordinary scene into a dramatic one. Macro is especially good at capturing small things like flowers, birds, fish and insects, allowing for full display of details. It can also freely express one's creativity in topic selection, composition and lighting, unlike landscape, portrait, folk culture and other themes that are subject to many conditions. Macro photography is relatively easy to get started with; although it mostly involves short pieces, these often contain much of the author's painstaking efforts and can be considered quality works.
