According to the US National Geographic website, the American National Geographic Magazine's website selected the top ten news pictures of 2010, including the Guatemala sinkhole, strange species of Greenland Island, "long hand fish", Iceland volcanic lightning, and the fight to the death between a crocodile and an elephant were among the selected news pictures.
