National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest Winner

The annual National Geographic Traveler magazine photography competition results have been announced today. This year saw over 15,500 participants.

This year's first prize was awarded to Wagner Araujo for his black and white work titled "Brazilian Aquathlon." The champion wrote in the artist statement that while shooting this photo in the water, my lens got wet, but those boys running in the water were so full of vitality that I forgot to worry about my lens.
