The Japanese Girl Who Floats Around Everywhere: Examples of Shooting Jumps

What is "Floating"? Japanese girl Natsumi Hayashi had a sudden idea. She said, "Starting this year (2011), let me take pictures of myself floating in the air." This is her series of jumping photographs, which she calls "Floating".

Equipped with the TIMER function of Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera, Natsumi Hayashi left her "floating" figures in the streets and alleys of Kyoto.

Although, this is not a special skill, yet her poetic photographs can always cleanse one's soul. Just like Natsumi Hayashi responded when she was asked: "Just like gravity, heavy social pressure affects each and every one of us. I hope that through these photos of floating in the air, everyone under heavy stress can also feel a bit of freedom."
