The Yanzha Cave in Hangzhou is dim, and there are many statues of ancient Indian Buddhist legendary figures carved on its walls. Zhang Wang went to take photos of them accompanied by a monk.

When the monk held a candle to admire the statues, Zhang Wang was deeply moved: What a picture it was! The ancient foreign divine monks and modern Chinese monks, the dim cave and soft candlelight, as well as the interweaving of the still carved legends and lifelike characters all created a surreal effect as if traveling through a thousand-year time tunnel.

The masterpiece "The Mystery of Yanzha Cave - Seeking Buddha" was born!

In May 2005, "Seeking Buddha" participated in the Austria International Photography Art Exhibition Competition, known as the Oscar of the international photography circle, and won the top prize in the special topic group. According to the rules of the Austrian Super Circuit, the author who wins the top prize will become a judge of the circuit the following year.
