Fozhe | Photography Friend

"Fo Ze" is a collection of works by Zhang Wang, originally named "Buddha's Footsteps", and later published as an album by Zhejiang Photography Press. I first saw this collection at the 2008 Pingyao Photography Festival. The author spent nine years delving into Buddhist temples such as Lingyin Temple and Tiantai Mountain, living and eating with the abbots, practicing Zen with the monks, and spending day and night with many disciples of Buddhism. He truthfully documented those years in words, which also changed the life of a friend from a foreign land.
