(1) The Parable of Growth: Be an Apple Tree that Keeps Growing Forever

An apple tree has finally borne fruit.

In the first year, it bore 10 apples, 9 of which were taken away, leaving itself with only 1. The apple tree was deeply dissatisfied and decided to cut off its own channels for growth, refusing to grow further. In the second year, it bore 5 apples, 4 of which were taken away, leaving itself with 1. "Ha ha, last year I got 10%, but this year I get 20%! It's doubled!" This made the apple tree feel a sense of psychological balance.

However, it could have done this instead: continue to grow. For example, in the second year, it could have borne 100 fruits, 90 of which were taken away, leaving itself with 10.
