Deputy Mayor Wu Daowen required that all towns in the city should concentrate on mosquito eradication actions within the next three days, while simultaneously launching a nationwide patriotic public health campaign primarily focused on preventing chikungunya fever. Relevant officials from the Health Bureau stated that at that time, each town would conduct cross-checks, and disease control personnel from each town and street hospital would go to every community to monitor the Breteau index.
