Korea's first carrier rocket Naro-1 carrying a man-made satellite was launched at 5:01 p.m. local time (4:01 p.m. Beijing Time) on the afternoon of January 10th at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province. It exploded and fell to pieces 137 seconds after launch at an altitude of 70 kilometers above ground. This dealt another heavy blow to Korea's carrier rocket launching dream.
