At 9:19 AM, a long-distance bus traveling from Zhenxiong County in Yunnan's Zhaotong region to Chengdu's荷花池 (Hehuachi), was on the main road between the Chengyu Flyover and the Shiling Flyover on the Third Ring Road when a hand-carried bag of a male passenger who boarded in Zhenxiong exploded after he got off the bus. The explosion injured the man, but none of the bus' other 26 passengers or its drivers were hurt, and the vehicle was undamaged.
