Partial List of Cultural Relics Destroyed during the Cultural Revolution:

1. The main hall of Emperor Yan's Mausoleum was burned down, the tomb was excavated, and the bones were burned to ashes.

2. The cemetery of Cang Jie, the creator of Chinese characters, was destroyed and transformed into a "Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery".

3. Shanxi Shun帝陵was destroyed, and a loudspeaker was hung on the tomb.

4. In Zhejiang Shaoxing Kuaiji Mountain, Dayu Temple was demolished, the huge statue of Dayu was smashed, the head was cut off at the neck, and it was paraded through the streets on a cart.

5. One of the three sacred statues personally consecrated by Buddha Sakyamuni when he was alive, the eight-year-old life-sized statue, had its face destroyed.

11. The newly appointed Party Secretary of Taiyuan City set three fires, the first of which was to destroy temples. Of the 190 temple relics in the city, except for a dozen or so that could be preserved, all were destroyed. By his order, more than a hundred relics were completely destroyed within a day.
