Our staff reporter (Huang Jin) reports, with correspondents Huang Songwen and Lu Junfeng: Three ancient tomb clusters have been discovered at Zhuzidun, Huangcun Brickworks, and Shaocun in Lianzhou. They are preliminarily judged to belong to the Northern and Southern Dynasties period. Recently, with the support of archaeological experts from the Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, a total of 27 ancient tombs were found in the three tomb clusters, including 26 brick-chambered tombs and one double-chambered tomb. The experts said that this kind of discovery is the first in the local area.
